All-Ireland Conference on Integrated Care (AICIC2025)

IFIC Ireland in association with the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC), the Health Service Executive (HSE Ireland), Department of Health, Northern Ireland,  Sláintecare, University College Dublin and Ulster University will once again co-host the All-Ireland Conference on Integrated Care (AICIC25) "Building a Better Future: Workforce Innovations for Person-centred Integrated Care" on Wednesday, 26 March at O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin.

The future of health and care services is at a critical juncture. To deliver sustainable, person-centred, and increasingly person and community-driven care, we must reimagine how we equip and support the health and care workforce. This means ensuring that health and care practitioners possess the skills, competencies, and tools needed to navigate the evolving landscape of primary, community-based, and integrated care.

As we face a global crisis marked by an ageing workforce and rising demands, bold steps are required. A shift in staffing models, the expansion of roles, and the fostering of strong interprofessional teams are no longer optional—they are urgent. To succeed, we must engage education and training institutions, invest in leadership development, and embrace innovation in workforce design.

Central to this transformation is the co-production of services with local populations, ensuring that care reflects the unique needs of communities. This conference will explore how to reinforce relationships over resources and deliver care that is not only person-centred but also person-driven. Together, we will examine evidence-based strategies and share best practices to shape the future of integrated care.
